Mr. Andrew Soundranayagam
Manager – Software Testing, Software Test-Worx

 

Andrew Soundranayagam has over 9 years of industry experience in diverse areas of the IT sector where he has proved his capabilities in the areas of Software Testing, Process Improvement, and Software Development.  He is currently working as the Manager - Software Testing at Software Test-Worx. He has vast experience in handling multiple software testing and test consultancy projects in various international client engagements, ranging from start- up ISVs to large scale enterprises such as British Telecom and Oracle. He managed and drove the successful implementation of CMMi at Aeturnum Incorporation. Prior to joining Aeturnum, Andrew was at Virtusa Corporation in the capacity of Senior Consultant- Quality Assurance. He has worked in countries such as India, United States, England and Sri Lanka.

 

He is an ISTQB certified professional (Foundation Level & Advanced Level – Test Manager) and an active ISTQB trainer. He holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Information Systems from the University of Manchester Metropolitan, UK.

Mr. Hussain Shabbir

CTO & Head of Operations, Aeturnum Lanka

 

Hussain Shabbir is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Head of Operations at Aeturnum Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. He is responsible for formulating a technical vision and strategy for advancing the state of practice in the engineering of software-services and products in the company. He is also responsible for enhancing Aeturnum’s existing Global Engineering Process (GEP) which has received a CMMI Level 3 rating. Additionally, he is the Head of Operations for the Colombo Offshore Development Center (ODC), whilst looking into delivery assurance, offshore profitability, technology consultation, MIS, PMO, HR, pre-sales and business development.

Prior to his role at Aeturnum Hussain functioned as a Senior Consultant at Virtusa Corp. He started his career at OPRO Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, and within a span of less than four years he was promoted to a Senior Consultant at Virtusa based on his commendable performance. He has managed, led and mentored offshore development teams and was the single point of contact between the client and offshore teams, during his stay onsite.

He has over seven years of industry experience in Sri Lanka and in United States. He is highly proficient in designing and developing mission critical applications, systems and software using various technologies.

Hussain holds a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK.

Mr. Sisira Kumara
Quality Assurance Manager, Latitude655

 

Sisira Kumara has over 13 years of industry experience in diverse areas of the IT sector where he has proved his capabilities in the areas of IT Training, Network Design & Implementation, Software Testing, Project Management, and Consultancy.  He is currently working as a Quality Assurance Manager at Latitude655.

 

Prior to joining Latitude655 he has worked in one of the largest IT services and consultancy companies in Sri Lanka providing solutions and consultancy services to Fortune 500 customers in Software Quality Assurance. He has experience in handling large software testing projects in various international client engagements and managed over 350 SQA professionals in his prior role as QA Manager.

 

Sisira has conducted many training sessions on Software Quality Assurance in various companies and has also served in the capacity of a visiting lecturer at SLIIT and UCSC, teaching QA related subjects.

Dr. Gihan Wikramanayake
Senior Lecturer, University of Colombo – School of Computing
Chairman, British Computer Society (BCS) Sri Lanka

 

Dr Gihan Wikramanayke has over 25 years of IT experience in diverse areas of the industry from programming, testing, systems analysis to lecturing. He is currently working as a senior lecturer at the Department of Information Systems Engineering, University of Colombo School of Computing. He is also serving as the Chairman of British Computer Society (BCS), Sri Lanka Section. 

He was the deputy director of the University Of Colombo School Of Computing previously and was a visiting researcher at Umea University, Sweden and a visiting scholar to the University of New Mexico, USA.  As an academic and a lecturer he has published many important articles and books on Information and Communication Technology. He has been a frontline speaker at many National and international conferences. He has held positions in other associations such as CSSL and IEEE. He has been part of the National/International Olympiad in Informatics, National/International School's Software Competition, National Best Quality Software Awards (NBQSA) and Young Computer Scientist.

Dr Gihan holds a Ph.D and M. Sc in Computer Science from the University of Wales, United Kingdom. He acquired his B.Sc. in Statistics and Mathematics from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Mr. Chinthaka Indikadahena
Senior Manager – Quality Assurance, Virtusa Corporation

 

Chinthaka Indikadahena has over 25 years of IT experience in various disciplines such as programming, project management, software quality assurance and testing. He has worked in IT organizations in Sri Lanka, New Zealand and USA during this period. In his current capacity as a Senior Manager – Quality Assurance at Virtusa (pvt) Ltd, he is responsible in ensuring product delivery quality and strategic development of testing processes & practices.

 

He is a BSc (Science) graduate from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and a Certified Software Quality Analyst (from QAI, USA).

Ms. Gayathri Muralidaran
Quality Assurance Manager, Ecode Lanka

 

Gayathri Muralidaran has over 9 years of industry experience specializing in Software Testing, Test Automation, Process Improvement, and Project Management.  She is currently working as a Quality Assurance Manager at Ecode Lanka Software (member of the Aexis group – Europe). In her current role as a QA manager Gayathri ensures that product quality and overall process improvements are as expected.

 

She has vast experience in handling multiple software testing and test consultancy projects globally including experience in the Insurance and Hospital domains.

Previously, she was an Associate Manager – Quality Assurance at Virtusa Corporation responsible for large quality assurance projects and training large teams.

 

Gayathri has a Professional diploma from the National Institute of Information Technology India and is a passed finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK.

Mr. Inthiquab Haddard
Consultant – Quality Assurance, Virtusa Corporation

 

Inthiquab Haddard has over 9 years of experience in the IT industry; spanning a wide range of areas such as software quality assurance, software development, systems administration. Working in the software quality assurance field for over 7 years, has enabled him to gain a vast amount of knowledge and experience in SQA concepts and processes.

 

Currently Inthiquab is designated as a Consultant-QA at Virtusa Ltd, in which he holds the responsibility of owning quality assurance within a particular project which includes managing the test team as well as defining /tailoring the QA process, managing scope and expectations with client, test planning and strategizing.

 

Prior to his position at Virtusa, Inthiquab functioned as a QA lead at On-Instance Ltd – Dubai, where he had the opportunity of being involved in multimedia related testing.

Inthiquab holds a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK.

Mr. Sanjaya Karunasena
Head of Technology and Chief Software Architect, ICTA

 

Sanjaya Karunasena is an Enterprise Architect with over 10 years of industry experience. Sanjaya has significant architecture and development experience in product development and enterprise software development, including experience in the retail, telecommunication, and eGovernment domains. He has experience in leading a 300+ engineering team, developing many enterprise solutions, providing strategic direction to improve software engineering productivity and software quality.

 

He is currently designated as the Head of Technology and Chief Software Architect at ICTA. In this role, while contributing to the design and the implementation of the nationwide SOA infrastructure, he provides technical guidance to a variety of initiatives. Previously, he worked as the Director of Services in a leading SOA company, responsible for all client services and infrastructure services.

Also, Sanjaya is a visiting lecturer at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and Department of Computer Science, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

 

Sanjaya has a M.Sc. in Computer Science and a B.Sc. Honors Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

Mr. Dhanushyantha Hettiarachchi
CTO, Aeturnum Inc

 

Dhanushyantha Hettiarachchi (Hetti) is the Chief Technology Officer at Aeturnum Incorporation and Software Test-Worx, positioned in United States. In his current role, Hetti oversees all Aeturnum offshore operations; additionally he provides technical and architectural leadership to clients. He heads the process group of Aeturnum which is involved in streamlining the delivery and engineering process to be more efficient, achieving economies of scale.

 

Prior to joining Aeturnum Hetti was at Virtusa Corp. He has vast experience in leading large software projects for fortune 500 companies. Hetti holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Information Systems from Manchester Metropolitan University UK.
